The Charge Description Master (CDM) can not be applied to many support departments.  Typically managers in these departments measure their own statistics.  These “barometers” can be utilized to measure productivity and are known as Non-CDM KVI’s.  Below is an example of a medical records department’s Non-CDM KVI’s by pay period.
