    IMS calculates Productivity on a Daily, Pay Period and Monthly basis.            

    The productivity module is the heart of the IMS system. It is where all labor resources, KVI's and standards meet and turn data into management information. The system takes this data and through a series of screens, reports, graphs and a very advanced piece of software puts it into the        hands of the department manager.  This information answers questions such as:

    What was my direct and indirect FTE variance?
    How many (hands on) staff hours did i need to take care of my patients?
    How Productive was the cost center?
    What was my overtime variance?
    How many hours did i pay in benefit time and how does it compare to year to date?

    At the cost center level the system presents productivity information in a logical and organized format. Pay Period and Monthly Review screens have been designed so the manger can can review their cost center information on one screen. If addition information is required, the screens have active links enabling the user to drill down to the detail. Examples:

    Click on the Total KVI link to display the KVI's at the procedure level trended by pay period and year to date.

    Click on the Paid FTE's link to display payroll detail by person broken down into various categories of hours. (vacation, regular, overtime etc.)

    Management has the ability to review all key productivity indicators on comprehensive screens. The data is summarized by Health System, Vice President and Functional group at the cost center level.
